The Drive By Truckers will play two shows for the Grand Opening of the venerable Athens, Georgia, venue--The Georgia Theatre--that burned down two years ago.
August 12 & 13 are the scheduled dates for The Truckers performances at the new Georgia Theatre.
The Truckers aren't the only band with Georgia ties that are part of the Grand Opening festivities. Athens band The Glands will be first in line on August 1 followed by Chuck Leavell and Friends on August 2. Blackberry Smoke plays on August 5 and Big Boi from Outkast has his show on August 11.
