2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

The 2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival begins on April 29 and continues until May 8. A wide variety of music, food, parades, culture and crafts will be available to supporters.

Twelve stages will feature a diverse collection of musical groups. Some of the bands performing this year include George Porter Jr., Ike Stubblefield, Jeff Beck, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Keb Mo, Justin Townes Earle, Robert Plant & The Band of Joy, the Avett Brothers, Mighty Clouds of Joy, UNO Jazz Allstars, Dr. John, Ricky Scaggs, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Pine Leaf Boys, Arlo Guthrie, Trombone Shorty, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, John Mellencamp, Tom Jones, Lucinda Williams, Charlie Musselwhite, Wilco and the Soul Rebel Brass Band.

The second weekend of the festival will see musical performers such as Guitar Slim Jr., Willie Nelson, Gregg Allman, Jesse Winchester, Allen Toussaint, Jimmy Buffett, Lauryn Hill, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Aaron Neville, Treme Brass Band, Ellis Marsalis, Cowboy Mouth, Sonny Landreth, Kid Rock, The Neville Brothers, The Radiators, Sonny Rollins and a long list of others.
