Patterson Hood and The Drive By Truckers are out on the road now for the band's The Big-To Do tour. In the summer The Truckers opened some shows for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. This week The Truckers take The Henry Clay People and The Hill Country Revue out on the road to entertain Trucker audiences.
Next Wednesday Patterson Hood will play a solo show in Athens, Georgia, for Russell Edwards. Edwards, a candidate for U.S. Congress in Georgia’s Tenth District, stands as a formidable politician if Patterson Hood will lend his name to such a crusade. I trust Hood’s judgement. Among other obvious accomplishments, Edwards graduated from the University of Georgia’s law school and plays a mean guitar. This should be an interesting solo Hood show--as usual. The Truckers' schedule remains busy...
On Tuesday, October the 12th, the Truckers long-awaited documentary The Secret To A Happy Ending will be shown at Macon, Georgia’s, Historic Cox Theater. The Truckers travel to Europe next month...
