Back Home From Nashville and My Head is Still Rockin'
Posted: Apr 30, 2009Back from Nashville, after the absolute longest, hardest ride of my life.
Yep, it’s true. The six-hour drive took over eight hours, thanks to yet another traffic jam in Knoxville, a truck wreck, and road construction near Asheville. What can you do? At least I was rockin' the whole time with an iPod full of good music.
But it was all worth it. I got to see my buddy Lee Bogan and record a new interview with him about life on the road with country star Ronnie McDowell, as well as all of his other recording projects, his new studio and his new paranormal investigation side project. Did I get your attention? It's true. Ghost hunting.
We also recorded new vocals on a song that Lee and I wrote that I truly feel is a major country hit in the making. I’d say that even if I were not involved.
And then there was Candy Coburn. We had a great time reminiscing about our mutual friend the late George McCorkle, and I really enjoyed her showcase at the Exit/In and our Wednesday morning interview. The girl has true Southern Rock roots in her country, Interview coming soon.
So other than some back pain, it was a great trip. I had a couple of appointments that cancelled on me, but I still had a great visit to one of my favorite towns. Music City, USA.
