Greetings Folks,
I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter holiday. Tomorrow night I’ll interview Dust To Digital’s Lance Ledbetter regarding winning a Grammy, the origin of his indelible label, boxsets and future movements of this Atlanta-based operation.
The mighty Widespread Panic asked me to interview their archivist Horace Moore. Panic will be launching archives of live shows—similar to the Grateful Dead’s Dick’s Picks. This weekend I’ll be attending a Panic show to meet with everyone in Orange Beach, Alabama. Panic’s shows at The Wharf always prove fun-fueled for a packed house of about eleven-thousand. I look forward to this gig…I’ll keep everyone informed as facts develop. The Panic archives will prove very interesting...
I spent the weekend on St. Simons Island, where I enjoyed barbecue at Southern Soul Barbecue, and read with Daniel Hutchens and Eric Carter of Bloodkin. It was another chapter in our spoken-word performances/recordings we’ve done over the last 20 years. Bloodkin will travel to Chicago this weekend for some shows.
