Bob Dylan turns 70 in May. Joel Gilbert’s Bob Dylan Revealed offers a fine overview of Dylan’s five-decade career. This documentary includes exclusive interviews, never-before-seen photos and amazing footage spanning Dylan’s prestigious recording and performance history.

For this film, Gilbert interviewed Jerry Wexler, Mickey Jones, Barry Feinstein, Jack Elliot, Scarlet Rivera, Rob Stoner and Rubin “Hurricane” Carter. Revealed is divided into eras of Dylan’s career beginning with the early Columbia days, the 1966 electric tour, his 1974 comeback tour and the Rolling Thunder tour.

Gilbert highlights Dylan’s obscure film Renaldo And Clara as well as his Christian phase, which includes a rare Dylan onstage sermons. Jerry Wexler and Spooner Oldham provided sharp insight to recording with Dylan during the Slow Train Coming sessions in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Revealed picks up in 1992 and continues until the present. Dylan’s drummer Winston Watson recounts his own experience traveling in Dylan’s ‘Never Ending Band’.

The film really reaches a zenith during the Winston Watson segment. It's a film worth seeing for any real Dylan fan. Even a couple of revealing and unseen interviews with Dylan appear in this film.

Revealed hits the streets on May first, just in time for the Bard’s 70th birthday…
