On August 12th and 13th, The Drive By Truckers will perform for the Georgia Theatre's Grand Opening. Wes Freed creates the artwork for all of the albums, tour posters and other memorabilia for The Drive By Truckers.
A couple of weeks ago, I conducted another interview with Wes, and I asked him to give me an update on his latest on goings. "Well, since Go-Go Boots, I did a cover for The Truckers' greatest hits package. I did a cover for a Cinelli bicycles catalogue. I created a tour poster for Dick Cooper's W.C. Handy Festival concert. I've also did a t-shirt and poster for the upcoming Truckers shows at the Georgia Theatre."
Wes also informed me he's got a new series of paintings that will be available on his website as well as new t-shits on the way. Stay tuned for the rest of Volume Two in the Wes Freed Interview Series...
