Love Gritz. Been reading for several years now. Like Buf says, he'll get some comments on this one. Alot of great southern songwriters to choose from, I know, but RVZ has GOT to be #1. I suppose what hurt him there was that he didn't write music. Other comment - Ed King is in there above Allen Collins? No way - Freebird, Curtis Loew, 3 Steps, Tuesday's Gone....'nuff said.

GREAT LIST. I so glad that you put Betts up there. I am not saying he got the short end of the stick with the Allmans. However he has kind of faded away. His last version of Great South was good with the two drummers. He not in the magazines shame on Hitting The Note. He should not be forgotten. Thank you for Grinderswith I loved them. Maybe a where are they now list would be interesting. Keep them coming. No one left to run with. Kind of sad
