Former Marshall Tucker Band Drummer Suffers Heart Attack

SPARTANBURG, SC - Former Marshall Tucker Band drummer David "Ace" Allen was admitted to the hospital yesterday following a heart attack. He is scheduled for a quadruple bipass surgery on the morning of Wednesday, August 22. Stay tuned to GRITZ for updates on Ace's condition.

August 25 Update: David came through surgery well and is resting in the hospital where he will remain for several weeks as he heals. He should be moved to a private room soon and we will provide an address to send cards.

August 29 Update: Ace is already at home! Apparently our friend is a fast healer. While he still has some time to heal, the prognosis looks great! Thank you to all the fans who expressed interest.
