Opening Night of Widespread Panic 25th Anniversary Tour: Louisville, KY
Tonight Widespread Panic begin their 25th Anniversary tour in Louisville, Kentucky. In February Panic played in Athens and Atlanta, Georgia, to commemorate their first gig in 1986. Panic will perform two shows at The Louisville Palace, and then onward to Sunday’s show in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
It’s assured Panic will deliver a potent dose of rock & roll on the good freaks of Louisville tonight and tomorrow. Swampland will highlight Panic’s 25th Anniversary tour as the days progress. Also, hats off to three Kentucky gentlemen who are all Louisville natives: Muhammad Ali, Johnny Depp and Hunter S. Thompson. I wouldn't be surprised if Panic slipped a "Werewolves From London" in the set list in the next two evenings...
In a Panic-related note, Daniel Hutchens will sit in with The Last Waltz Ensemble tonight in Atlanta.
