The Last Waltz Ensemble formed in 2004. This Atlanta band plays the music of Bob Dylan & The Band. TLWE earned a dedicated following in the south, and always includes an impressive array of musical guests such as Susan Tedeschi, Col. Bruce Hampton, Rev. Jeff Mosier, Ike Stubblefield and Rick Richards among many others during live performances.

New Orleans Jokerman was recorded in The Crescent City during Sept-Oct 2010. The group includes Kris Gloer, Mark Kramer, Eric Reed, Benji Shanks, Bumper Johnson and Jason Fuller. Guests on this disc includes Francine Reed, Jessica Sheridan, Charlie Starr, CR Gruver, Jon Liebman, Kevin O'Day, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band’s Kevin Harris and Roger Lewis, Mean Willie Green and George Porter Jr. Flournoy Holmes designed the artwork for New Orleans Jokerman.

It's a wonderful collection of players. The songs remain timeless, yet refreshed with this New Orleans swing. The impressive 15 song tracklist includes: "Down South In New Orleans", "Look Out Cleveland", "Forever Young", Chuck Berry's "Promised Land", "Jemima Surrender", "Shooting Star", "Positively 4th Street", "Caledonia Mission", "Corrina", "Rainy Day Women # 12 & 36", "Joker Man", "When I Paint My Masterpiece", "Stage Fright", "The Rumor" and "Life Is A Carnival".

Gems on New Orleans Jokerman for this humble scribe include "Look Out Cleveland", "Positively 4th Street", "Joker Man", "When I Paint My Masterpiece", "The Rumor" and the beautiful instrumental version of "Life Is A Carnival".  The band's live dynamic really verifies their true brilliance. You've not heard the last of The Last Waltz Ensemble on Swampland. New Orleans Jokerman serves as musical tonic for the soul...
