ACC Daily Fever: Tech battle will decide Coastal Division

The Coastal Division could get very interesting on Saturday if Georgia Tech can beat favored Virginia Tech at home in Atlanta. That result would net a three-way tie with both Techs and Miami, and that would lead to a very exciting league race down the stretch. If Frank Beamer’s club prevails, they would once again stake their claim as the dominant program in the conference.

The key for Virginia Tech will be slowing down a Georgia Tech running attack that seems to give defensive coordinators fits in their weekly preparation. The Yellow Jackets outgained the Hokies by 140 yards last season, but three costly turnovers led to a 20-17 loss.

Watching VT’s Bud Foster and GT’s Paul Johnson match schemes should be the key to the game and very entertaining football as well.
