Saturday was a tough day for Lane Kiffin and the Vols.

The offense struggled mightily as UT lost an ugly 19-15 game against UCLA, and now they have to head to the Swamp to meet #1 Florida.

However, the news was much better Sunday when Kiffin and staff hauled in commitments from three Top 100 players.  While most of the media will focus on Kiffin’s offseason words this week, the most important story for Big Orange followers may very well be the recruiting class being put together in Knoxville.

The fact is that not many college football followers expected the current Tennessee roster to go win in Gainesville this season whether Kiffin “talked trash” or not.  What’s going to get the Vols back to the level of Florida and Alabama is bringing top flight talent back to Rocky Top.  

UT and Kiffin have been dedicated to improving recruiting based on the resources given to designing his coaching staff.  The payoff has already begun.  Wins in the coming years should follow.
