Georgia Tech suffered a blow to their depth over the weekend when backup quarterback Jaybo Shaw broke his collarbone.

The sophomore from Flowery Branch appeared in seven games last season and accounted for five touchdowns.

 In Paul Johnson’s spread option attack, the quarterback can take a number of hits. Despite Shaw’s injury, Johnson said he would not put no-contact jerseys on his quarterbacks in practice.

If anything should happen to starter 

Josh Nesbitt, the Yellow Jackets could be scrambling for a solution as they try to build on last year’s momentum in 2009.
