Henry Paul has always been one of my favorites, and is much better than Dickey Betts.

I would throw ole Jim Dandy in there too just for originality, that sandpaper voice and stage showmanship!!

I have to add my own favorite southern rock singer. It's true, Jimmie Hall is great, with great energy. But I would have to give the number one place to Elvin Bishop Bands Mickey Thomas. He was just as great singing with Starship.

I have to take exception to your list. Where is Ronnie Hammond? You pay homage to Rickey Medlock, but not a word about Ronnie? I so disagree.. To me, Ronnie ranks right up there with Gregg. And while I love Jimmie Hall, he's definitely not #1. Just my humble opinion..
