I was first introduced to Randall Bramblett during his days with Sea Level, and his prowess on sax, vocals and keyboards have only grown throughout the years. His current band is super funky, as witnessed during their set for the Big House Foundation gala a few months back. I’m happy to report that the same energy that draws the listeners in during their live shows is present on this album as well. From “Where Are You Tonight” to the beautiful “It’s Alright” and perhaps the finest track “Somebody Like Me,” the whole record is a cooker.
The closing track is another introspective and beautiful tune called “Concrete Mind,” another standout and soulful track. An excellent release from one of Southern Rock’s true pioneers.
