There’s more than a little influence from Hughie Thomasson and Toy Caldwell in the music of Tumbleweed Junction, whether they are cooking on a Southern Rocker like “I’m On The Run” or going more country, as on “I’m Home” or the lovely “My Sweet Refuge,” or the Outlaw Country vibe of “Think Anything You Want.” There’s always an underlying Southern Rock influence in the music produced by David Allen (vocals, guitar, mandolin.fiddle), Brandon Lee Brown (vocal and guitar), Bobby Dingman (bass) and Mike Mule (drums). The more country Southern Rock that is, as in a Marshall Tucker, Winters Brothers feel.

Tumbleweed Junction wraps the electric guitars around a firm bed of acoustic, creating a sound that is at once familiar, and also fresh and new.  And it seems they only get better with each new album. Good stuff.
