Bluestone Company is one amazing Southern Rock band. You may know them by their former moniker, The Savoy Truffle, but these days, with a new name and renewed high energy, Bluestone is rocking harder than ever. The Japanese band has made fast friends with Texas blues rocker Chris Duarte, and have been touring all over the world with him. Duarte adds his Stevie Ray inspired guitar to the mix, creating a mind blowing rock and roll bombast.

The instrumental “Silver Horse” just plain rocks, and “In The News Today” swaggers with SRV flavor wrapped around some almost Allen Woody sounding bass lines.

“She Cries” combines a Gov’t Mule vibe with a Cream style vocal, and “Luck Shine On Me” has some swampy slide guitar work that would make any slider envious.

“Valle, Colorado” is a smoldering instrumental in the Allman Brothers vein that simply burns white hot. Everyone in this band is a consummate professional, and their debut (at least as Bluestone Company) is a true keeper. Aki, you rock brother.
