Swampland Salutes the Allman Brothers In Macon

...Swampland tips a hat to the Allman Brothers...

Last night Buffalo Smith and I attended a benefit in honor of "The Big House Foundation" (thebighousemuseum) for the Allman Brothers at the Armory Ballroom in Macon, Georgia, where many great items were auctioned. I'd like to send a nod and a wink to Hittin' The Note's John Lynskey and the Allman Brothers Tour Mystic Kirk West for their hospitality. Swampland will be interviewing Kirk West in the next couple weeks for insight on Kirk's indelible photography, the Allman Brothers, and his involvement with the Big House Foundation.

It was good to see Mr. and Mrs. West, Chris Hicks, Willie Perkins, Randall Bramblett & Band, Colonel Bruce Hampton, The Georgia Music Hall of Fame's Lisa Love, the 550 Blues guys and Mama Louise. Buffalo's band rocked the 550 Blues Club after the Big House event.  A mighty fine buffet was catered at The Armory by Edgar's Bistro, The Magnolia Grill, Bert's, Jeneane's, Satterfield's, Caliente's, The Rookery, Second Street Pizza, and the infamous H&H Restaurant.
