HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY
Summer just got a lot hotter. Ron Pearlman rocks once again as the hellspawn who loves candybars and 8-Track tapes. This time he is trying to keep a centuries old super army of the dead from being unleashed on the world by a powerful evil prince of darkness. All in a day’s work for Hellboy.

Selma Blair is as hot as ever (pun intended) as Liz, Red’s one true love, and Doug Jones returns as the “brains of the outfit,” Abe Sapien (as well as putting on a hundred more hours of makeup as Chamberlain and as the Angel of Death). No stranger to full body makeup and costume, Jones appeared in Pan's Labyrinth as both Pan and the spooky Pale Man, as well as playing The Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer.

Seth McFarlane (creator of and voice of Family Guy) voices the gas man, Johan Krauss. Famed British actor John Hurt returns as Professor Broom.Guillermo del Toro tosses out dozens of new weird creatures, probably because of the success of his Pan’s Labyrinth, and we are given a film that is twice as visually stunning as the original Hellboy film. Lots of action, enough visuals to command a second viewing, and a fun script that stays true top the comic book help to make HB2 a true winner.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH
Brendin Fraiser (The Mummy) as Professor Trevor Anderson ends up playing baby sitter to his teenage nephew Sean, and while it looks like an uphill visit, things change quickly when the two of them set out an expedition to Iceland, where they hire a pretty mountain guide named Hannah (Anita Briem).

Trevor’s brother (Sean’s dad) went missing in the area while searching for the world described in Jules Verne’s novel, and the adventurous trio soon find that some sci-fi really is true.

Lots of cool F/X, and a fun, Disney like vibe. Fun for the whole family.

MEET DAVE
Eddie Murphy makes it two flops in a row. If you thought Norbitt sucked, get a load of Dave. Tiny humanoid space aliens inhabit a spaceship that looks like Murphy which they control like a robot from inside. A few good laughs here and there, but overall a waste of time and film.
