Coen Brothers Adapt Cormac McCarthy's Book No Country For Old Men Into Film
11/11/07
A new Coen Brothers movie, based on Cormac McCarthy's cold-blooded book No Country For Old Men, is now in theatres and proves worth the ticket price. In their 23-year career, The Coen Brothers made movies such as Blood Simple, The Man Who Wasn't There, Fargo, Intolerable Cruelty, Raising Arizona, O Brother, Where Art Thou? and The Big Lebowski.
Tommy Lee Jones plays the naive sheriff. Josh Brolin plays the kid who discovers a suitcase full of money that doesn't belong to him, and trouble begins from there. A new Village Voice article highlights factors contributing to the Coen Brothers adaptation of the great southern writer's work. This is not a story for romantics who love happy endings....
