This article reports Tom Petty is not happy that Republican Presidential candidate Michele Bachman is using "American Girl" for her campaign. The article indicates the letter was issued Monday.
Petty also issued a cease and desist letter to Govenor George W. Bush for using the song "I Won't Back Down" for his presidential campaign. I find it amazing that folks still think they can use an artist's work without permission, or payment.
