I had the Black Moses LP on my wall when I was 16. The cover opened up in the shape of a cross, with Hayes standing shirtless, save his chain vest. It was so cool, but it scared my mom more than the Alice Cooper "Killer" poster beside it. To me, Isaac was the man. From his classic r&b soul voice to his musical production genius on Theme from Shaft.... Besides Black Moses, I always loved Hot Buttered Soul as well. The world is a sadder, darker place today without Isaac Hayes. And 65 is far too young to leave. I for one will miss Black Moses. But his music will live forever. Taking a cue from you James, think I'll put in Hot Buttered Soul and groove the night away....
