This evening I conducted a great interview with the talented singer/songwriter Tift Merritt. A North Carolina girl, Tift's accomplishments continue to expand. She's already been nominated for a Grammy, performed with Emmylou Harris, worked with George Drakoulias, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench and Charlie Sexton to name a few.

In our conversation, Tift discussed her early musical inclinations, career moves, songwriting, touring, recording, photography and her latest disc Another Country. Tift deserves any serious music fan's attention. I look forward to writing up her story. She said she'd even take me up on my invitation to contribute to Swampland/Mystery And Manners.
