Mama Inez Hill, the co-owner of Macon's H&H Restaurant has passed away at 94. 

Inez Hill, 94, died early this morning (Tuesday, December 18th) of natural causes at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Hill, and her sister "Mama Louise" Hudson, ran the landmark eatery that was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show last month.

Winfrey praised the sisters for providing comfort and nourishment to so many people over the years.

The home-cooked vittles drew the Allman Brothers Band members to the Cotton Avenue restaurant and helped make H&H famous.

Says Gritz's Macon correspondent John Charles Griffin,  "While Mama Hill spent hundreds of hours in the H&H Restaurant kitchen with an apron on, at public events or concerts, Mama Inez Hill's fashionable apparel could hold it's own with more class than Hollywood designers."

Funeral arrangements are pending for Hill.
