New Issue of Hittin' The Note is Packed with Good Reading
Posted: Sep 23, 2007I have been a subscriber to Hittin’ The Note magazine for several years, and at one point I even went back and purchased the past issues all the way back to #1. As a fan of The Allman Brothers Band, I was instantly hooked. I even had the opportunity to write a few articles for the magazine, including features on Toy Caldwell and Dru Lombar.
The latest issue of HTN is packed with great stuff. I wanted to thank Tom Clarke for mentioning me in his review of The Marshall Tucker Band’s The Next Adventure, and was pleased to see the good folks at Rockin’ Camel Music use a quote of mine from Swampland.com in their back cover ad. I still maintain that the Capricorn Rhythm Section live CD is a must have for any Southern rock fan. There’s also a nice memorial to founding Marshall Tucker Band member George McCorkle.
Issue #54 of HTN also features : A great photo packed feature (by original ABB road manager Twiggs Lyndon) on the Allman Brothers Band’s May, 1969 gig in Piedmont Park in Atlanta...
