Mothers Finest Bassist To Release New Album On New Southern Label

Posted: Feb 16, 2007 WASHINGTON, Georgia -- Bless Your Heart Music, LLC (BYHM) is celebrating the anniversary of its first year in business by announcing a joint venture with Jerry "Wyzard" Seay that includes plans to release Primal Incantation, the very first solo release from Mother's Finest's famed bassist. The release is scheduled for summer of 2007.


"Wyzard is, without a doubt, one of the top bassist in the world," BYHM Music Courtisane and President Carlean Moser said. "It is a huge honor to work with him on this and all our upcoming projects. Mother's Finest has been one of the most innovative and influential bands in music history. The fact that they emerged from the Southeast is very significant for us.

"Wyzard has been an integral and driving force since the band's inception three decades ago and has imprinted his style on rock music forever - not only with Mother's Finest but also during his time with Stevie Nicks, through his production efforts with Guitar Shorty, and internationally with the Songdogs" she continued. "We're thrilled to be involved with the release of his first solo effort, Primal Incantation. The music is amazing and clearly illustrates his versatility and range as a producer, singer, songwriter and, of course, as an incomparable bassist. That is why he is one of the most in-demand talents in the world."

Wyzard began his career at the age of 13 working with Jackie Wilson. Along with Mother's Finest, he is considered a major Funk Pop influence by such noted artists as Prince, Living Colour, Eddie Van Halen and more. In addition to penning the hit songs "Baby Love", "Fire," and "Don't Wanna Come Back" (which was the sample source for Puff Daddy's "I Got The Power").

Wyzard works with the likes of Stevie Nicks, Waddy Wachtel, Mick Fleetwood, Jimmy Iovine, Ian McLaughlin, Levon Helms, and Sonny Landreth.
