On Thanksgiving Day in 1976, The Band performed their last show at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. Martin Scorsese filmed the concert he and The Band later named The Last Waltz.
Guests included Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Dr. John, Eric Clapton, Paul Butterfield, Emmylou Harris, Van Morrison, Ronnie Hawkins, Bobby Charles, Ringo Star, The Staple Singers and Ron Wood. The Last Waltz certainly has its moments. Happy Thanksgiving from Swampland...
