The New York Times published an interesting article yesterday. The First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, Texas, purchased the building where bluesman Robert Johnson recorded some of his most resonating songs.
In 1937, Johnson recorded his final 13 songs for Brunswick Records in Dallas. This article indicates First Presbyterian plans to renovate the building in 2012 as a cultural music center.
I'm sure Mr. Johnson would find this latest development amusing...
