The Ninth Annual Ponderosa Stomp will take place on September 16-17 at the Howlin' Wolf in New Orleans. This New Orleans-based roots music festival pays tribute to "unsung heroes and heroines of rock n roll, rhythm & blues and other forms of American roots music."
The 2011 Stomp includes one of the most formidable line-ups ever assembled. Some of the artists performing this year include: Allen Toussaint, William Bell, Eddie Floyd, Ace Cannon, Calvin Newborn, Bobby Charles, Dan Penn, Augie Meyers, Eddie Kirkland, Sir Mack Rice, The Bo Keys, Bobby Rush, The Hi Rhythm Section, James Burton, Link Wray, Scotty Moore, Sam The Sham, Rudy Ray Moore, Tony Joe White and many others.
