Posted: Jul 19, 2011Today's review duo come from Gillian Welch and Mount Moriah out of North Carolina. Mount Moriah's is a debut release while Gillian Welch's is her first in 8 years. The connection between these two releases is their musical sensibility which is mountain country. Also, both records feature strong female vocalists and songwriters ably supported by male guitarists - David Rawlings in Welch's case and Jenks Miller in Mount Moriah.
