New Sly Stone Album Due Out August 16

For the first time since 1982, Sly Stone will release a new album. I'm Back! Family & Friends hits the streets August 16, 2011, on Cleopatra Records.
The 11-song collection includes three previously unreleased tracks with musical assistance from Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, Bootsy Collins, the Doors' Ray Manzarek and others. In the last decade, Stone remained reclusive until his 2006 Grammy performance. Stay tuned.
