Official Duane Allman website debuts
Posted: Jun 06, 2011Galadrielle Allman, the daughter of late Duane Allman, has helped create a website in tribute to her father - duaneallman.com. Clearly a labor of love, the website provides a home for Duane's legacy as it contains discographies, stories about Duane's life, and a forum for Duane's fans to interact.
Today, the Allman Brothers released an official statement via Facebook in support of the site:
We have had the honor and privilege of working with Galadrielle Allman over the past couple of months to launch a website tribute to her father at http://www.duaneallman.com/. Galadrielle's vision is a respectful, low key but loving spot on the web where fans, friends and family can spend a little time and share a smile or loving thought.
One of the most exciting things at this new site is a page under the music section where unreleased music is available for streaming. This music includes songs from Duane's aborted solo album that he was recording before the Allman Brothers Band formed.
There are also demos recorded in conjunction with both of the Allman Brothers first two studio album as well as unreleased Derek and the Dominos tracks and two live performances from 1971, one of Duane playing with Delaney and Bonnie and Friends and one of the Allman Brothers Band with Duane.
Galadrielle has done a fine job of honoring her legendary father.
