Chris Robinson Brotherhood & Howlin Rain Big Sur Memorial Weekend

"Lost in the equinox/lightening flash in a blood red sky
Another game of paradox/got the angels choosing sides..."
                                           "40 Days"
                                           Chris Robinson

During the next two evenings, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood will perform at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur, California. Since The Black Crowes are taking a break, Robinson formed a new band with Neal Casal as lead guitarist, Adam MacDougall plays keyboards, Muddy Dutton handles bass duties and George Sluppick bangs the drums.

In August, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood will play six shows with the J. Geils Band, and a show with Jackie Greene and the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir at the Rocky Mountain Folk Festival.

For the show tonight and tomorrow in Big Sur, the amazing Oakland band Howlin Rain will open for the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. Robinson's new band plays a wide variety of cover songs, Crowes songs and tunes from his solo albums. Big Sur would be a great place to be to see these two great bands on Memorial Day weekend. Colorful sounds...
