Jack White Explores the Art of Auctioneering

Jack White now lives in Nashville. Best known as founder of the The White Stripes, White also spearheaded groups and projects like The Raconteurs, Loretta Lynn’s masterpiece Van Lear Rose, The Dead Weather, collaborations with Bob Dylan and Wanda Jackson’s latest release.

White spends a lot of time in his Nashville record store and label, Third Man Records. In this recent NPR interview, White reveals his pursuit of a recording vision that preserves the lexicon and art of the auctioneer. Preserving the art of auctioneering certainly illustrates the beauty and fabric of (southern) culture. It's an interesting interview...
