Chris Robinson Brotherhood Tour Dates
The Black Crowes just completed their ‘Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys Tour’ in December. Since the Crowes are on hiatus, Chris Robinson recently constructed a formidable band, and they announced 30 dates they will be playing in California this spring.
As of now, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood includes Robinson on vocals & guitar, Jonathan Wilson on bass, Adam MacDougall on keyboard and George Sluppick on drums. Robinson, MacDougall and Wilson all played on the Gary Louris album Vagabonds several years back, and they retain a telepathic chemistry.
Sluppick, a Memphis native has played with MOFRO, B.B. King, Albert King, Gatemouth Brown, Billy Watson and Amy Lavere. Sluppick even scored the film Gospel Hill with Scott Bomar (Black Snake Moan).
This is a small gang of heavy players. It’s safe to say, a diverse range of songs will be played at these shows including material from Robinson's solo efforts New Earth Mud and This Magnificent Distance. Robinson decribes this band as "psychedelic filling in a folk blues pie." Perhaps the Brotherhood will travel South...
