Last fall I wrote a dispatch regarding the Virginia artist Wes Freed. He's  best known as the artist whose work  graces covers of The Drive By Truckers last seven albums. Freed also ranks as a formidable musician. His previous bands, Mudd Helmut, The Shiners and Dirtball proved talented groups.
