The Saints Go Marchin' In! What a Game!

Who dat? I nearly levitated from my sofa during the final minutes of the big game as the New Orleans Saints beat the Colts 31 - 17. Of course the real action came in the second half with the onside kick followed by Porter’s 74 yard interception run. All I can say is “Go Saints!” New Orleans will be partying all night tonight as I sleep. Heck, I have to be in  court for jury duty at 8 am. As my man Charlie Brown would say, Rats!

As usual the commercials were a lot of fun. My personal favorite was the Superbowl party with Dave Letterman, Oprah and Jay Leno together on a sofa. Hilarious. I also loved the Dorito’s one where the kid warns his mother’s male suitor after slapping his face, “Keep your hands off my mama, and keep your hands off my Doritos!” Of course the Betty White commercial was hilarious, and I loved the KISS and Mini-KISS Dr. Pepper spot.  And the Go Daddy commercials are pretty hot, although their internet only versions are smokin.’

I really enjoyed The Who. I had a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that they have been rocking for over 45 years. Wow. And they sounded great. In the middle of their set my daughter asked, and this is the God’s honest truth.

She said. “Who is that playing right now.”
“The Who,” I answered.
“Who?”
“Yes, The Who.”
“No, I mean, who’s onstage right now?”
Exactly, I replied.

It took me a few minutes of Abbott & Costello routine, but she finally understood, and I just laughed like I haven’t laughed in a long time.

So it was a great game, funny commercials, and fun with family. I can think of no better way to spend a Sunday evening. Oh, I almost forgot - GO SAINTS!
