Cold, cold wind…

Today I’m transcribing part one of my interview with Dust To Digital president Lance Ledbetter. Next week, we begin the second part of the interview. This definitive interview/feature will coincide with Dust To Digital’s Grammy nomination for Take Me To The Water in February. Dust To Digital ranks as one of my top ten topics of all time and I’ll take no prisoners on this next article…

I’m looking forward to the Drive By Truckers new record as well as an Athens show with Bloodkin next week…wondering if I’ll make it. Also, there will be more Athens, Georgia, news coming regarding The University of Georgia’s Bruce Burch, Hotel Indigo, John Keane and David Barbe. A string of reviews is on the way…Waylon Jennings first six albums included…some South Memphis String Band News…The Word and a plethora of other topics I don’t have the time to list.

Look for an upcoming article by Alabama poet Diann Blakely. Diann’s married to Stanley Booth and I look forward to seeing them in the next week or so… this always conjures literary gems. The Soul Food Tour will enter its latest leg. I’m also working on interviewing The Oade Brothers, and anyone who knows anything about recording or sound system expertise know who they are. Wes Freed also interests me…but enough of my intentions or card-showing.
