Big 12 Daily Fever: Texas Clearly the Conference's Best

Texas versus Oklahoma State was built up as the game of the year in the conference, but the Longhorns separated themselves from the rest of the league with a convincing 41-14 win in Stillwater.

Will Muschamp’s defense is playing as well as anyone in the nation, and they picked off Zac Robinson four times including two they returned for touchdowns.

The path to the BCS Title Game looks pretty clear for Texas at this point. The only potential stumbling blocks seem to be the rivalry game at Texas A&M or the conference championship game, but the Longhorns will be heavily favored in both contests.

Unless Alabama or Florida stumbles during the regular season, Mack Brown’s team should have a shot at the SEC Champion in Pasadena. Of course, the last time the BCS Title Game was played at the Rose Bowl was Texas’ memorable victory over USC to win it all.

Texas is already back at #2 in the BCS standings as of Sunday.  It is looking like another SEC-Big 12 showdown in January.
