Big 12 Daily Fever: Texas Tech's Profile Continues To Rise Under Leach

As Texas Tech prepares to host Texas A&M this week, this game looks like two teams headed in different directions.

After two tough losses to Top 20 teams to end September, the Red Raiders have won three in a row and are coming off a big time blowout victory at Nebraska. Conversely, the Aggies have dropped three in a row including last week's shocking 62-14 beatdown at Kansas State.

The recent trend doesn't bode well for A&M either. Texas Tech has won four in a row in the series, and the Aggies have not won in Lubbock since 1993. Mike Leach is obviously known for his wide open offense, but the Red Raider defense is also playing well this year and should make Tech a tough out down the stretch.

WIth another 9-10 win season after losing Michael Crabtree and Graham Harrell, Mike Leach continues to show that he is building a solid program-one that has supplanted Texas A&M in stature in the Lone Star State.
