Our New John Hammond Interview is Waiting for You!
Posted: Jan 19, 2007
John Hammond is simply an amazing performer. Prior to my interview with him last week, I only knew a little about the man. I knew that he had an album called
Southern Fried because I owned it back in the seventies. It was a
fantastic record that featured the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, Duane Allman and Eddie Hinton. Man, that was one blues-rockin' epic masterpiece. I also knew that he had recorded an album called
I'm Satisfied under the watchful eye of producer Delaney Bramlett -- another
great record.
After my interview I felt compelled to hit eBay looking for even more classic vinyl and CD issues by Hammond whose latest CD,
Push Comes to Shove, will be released January 23. I am very proud of our interview and happy to report that it is now posted here at Swampland and may be read by clicking
here.
Speaking of interviews, y'all get ready because in a matter of days we will be posting all of the archived Gritz interviews here on Swampland going all the way back to 1998. This includes
all of the interviews I had taken down when I self-published my book
Outlaws, Rebels & Renegades. It will be a real Southern rock and Southern music database, fellow babies.
Also, I have completed an interview with country superstar Clay Walker
(who, by the way, is a huge Marshall Tucker Band fan) which will soon be available. We are also working on an exclusive interview with our friend Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry. Now how much would you pay?
Nothing! Because Swampland is givin' it to you absolutely
free! Phone the neighbors, wake the kids, tell everyone you know to come on over and join Swampland for free, sign up and become interactive. It's going to be a stone cold gas, man. You won't want to miss a single post or blog.
Keep it Real, Keep it Southern!
