SPF Daily Rating: Bengals Blackout?

Posted: Oct 15, 2009

The Bengals have had a dream season so far.

They've beaten their arch rival (Steelers).  They've beaten their in state rival.  They are a last minute tipped pass away from being undefeated, but they are still at 4-1 and lead the AFC North.

It's too bad that they might be facing a local blackout due to lack of ticket sales for this Sunday's game against the Texans.  The latest word is that they have asked for an extension to see if they can sell enough to end the blackout.

The Bengals have a great and supportive market, but they have squandered much good will over the past few years.  All they can do now is to keep winning and hope that the fans will start coming back to them.
