Big 12 Daily Fever: An Undefeated Texas A&M Relies on Youth

Lost in all the Big 12 buzz has been Mike Sherman's quiet rebuilding job in College Station. Most were wondering how A&M had sunk so low before Sherman's hiring. It looks like it's the same old story - not enough recruiting of talent.

Sherman has soldiered on after a difficult first season by placing 30 underclassmen on his 2009 two - deep roster.

Sherman's boys have their first good test against Arkansas at the new Cowboys Stadium. He will face Bobby Petrino, another second year coach with NFL tenure. Both of these coaches are building teams based on NFL offensive principals in hopes of bolstering their recruiting.

Mike Sherman is under the radar for now. Unless A&M completely falls apart down the stretch, they should be bowl bound this year.

The real question that remain is whether the Aggies can get back to competing with Texas and Oklahoma by 2010.
