SPF Daily Rating: Texas Stadium RIP
Posted: Sep 25, 2009Last night, the Irving (TX) City Council approved the funds to demolish Texas Stadium.
Lost in all the hype of the new Cowboys Stadium, it's hard to believe that a place with so much football history will soon be history itself. From its unique roofless ceiling to the timeless games played inside of it, there are few buildings in the NFL that have built this kind of meaning among football fans.
It's one of the sad things that the NFL fails to understand outside of places like Green Bay - tradition is what keeps people connected.
Oh well, out with the old
and in with the new
