Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma doctors will have an interesting decision to make in the upcoming weeks.

They still have a chance for a Championship season and must decide when is the best time for Sam Bradford to return. Obviously he will have to get the green light from the medical staff, but then it becomes the decision of the coaching staff on how to manage the Heisman winner.

Bradford returned to practice for the first time Monday but does not look like a candidate to start at Miami in the Sooners’ next game on October 3rd.

A month ago, the Sooners would have been considered the heavy favorite. But with Miami undefeated and Oklahoma battling injuries, it now seems like Stoops’ club may benefit from the Canes’ early success if redshirt freshman Landry Jones can lead the Sooners to a win in South Florida.

The Big 12 slate will start the following week for Oklahoma, and we’ll have to wait and see if Bradford will be good to go in that game against Baylor. How Stoops and his offensive coaches manage that decision may be the key to the season.
