SPF Daily Rating: The Saints Roll Again Behind Smart Decisions

The New Orleans Saints keep their high powered offense rolling once again as they went into Philadelphia and smoked the Eagles 48-22.

What has been lost in all the dazzling numbers this year has been greater consistency from all areas of the Saints team - offense, defense, special teams, and coaching.  The Times-Picayune's Jeff Duncan sums it up in this column.  In choosing to punt on a 4th and short, HC Sean Payton helped put his team on a 21-3 spurt that carried them to victory.

It's hard not to look at the Saints in the context of Hurricane Katrina.  After that devastating storm, most thought the Saints were bound for another town.  Today, not only do the Saints look like one of the NFC's best teams with one of its bests QBs, the team and its own have fully committed to the once storm-ravaged city.
