SPF Daily Rating: Delhomme Under Fire In Carolina

Things are getting ugly in Charlotte and Carolina for Panthers QB Jake Delhomme.  Delhomme is getting major flack from fans.  He has become the easy focus of the team's disfunction.  Expectations have been high for the Panthers, and so far they have underachieved massively.

Despite all of the criticism form the fans and media, Delhomme still has the support of his team.  It is pretty sad to see him struggle so much because his personal story is a good one.  This SI vault piece from John Ed Bradley tells Delhomme's story.  (This is well worth the long read.)

2009 could be the end of the road for both Delhomme and John Fox.  After the QB got a huge off season extension, these two are joined at the hip.

At least Bojangles is sticking with Delhomme as their spokesman.
