Mark Karan's New Album is Stellar; Features The Late Delaney Bramlett

When I was at The Winters Brothers Jam last week, my friend Sonny Edwards called me down to his room on Saturday afternoon and said he had a new CD he wanted me to hear. He played me seversl cuts without telling me who the artist was, just wanting me to judge it solely on the sounds I was hearing. Long story short, I was sold.

Turns out the album, Walk Through The Fire, is by Mark Karan, a top flight guitaist and singer who was a good friend of Delaney Bramlett. In fact, Delaney appears on the album, along with a plethora of excellent players.

Sonny has written a feature on his friend Mark that is part information, part album review and all positive. No small wonder. This really is one of the finest CDs of the year. Read the article here.
