Bad news today out of Athens. The venerable Georgia Theatre has burned down. The blaze began around 7A.M. I--like many many other folks--have had many good times and seen a lot of great music here. It's like some adverse circumstance befalling a friend...memories are stirred and shaken. Everyone is now wondering what's going to happen to this great place where so many great bands have played. Sad day in Athens history...
